Dear friends and partners

These are truly unprecedented times. The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered a global crisis with serious, far-reaching implications for our sector and communities across the Middle East – places that were already suffering from severe political and socioeconomic challenges, as well as the growing impact of climate disruption.

Facing these complex problems is a daunting task, but it also offers us all an opportunity to rethink how we work collectively to lead our civil society and youth-led sectors towards greater sustainability and innovation, seeking new models of online delivery and transforming how we effect real impact for communities in our region. These objectives have been central to the Foundation’s strategic evolution since 2018, and have become even more relevant in a time of prolonged disruption with unpredictable long term consequences.

Rest assured, the Foundation is facing this uncertain period with you. We are determined to navigate this crisis and to emerge, together with our partners, more agile, resilient and prepared for the challenges of the future.
