NEW CEO, SABA ALMUBASLAT, JOINS TODAY
The Asfari Foundation is delighted to announce that Saba Almubaslat has joined today as our new CEO.
Saba is a leading voice in the humanitarian and development sector in the Levant and beyond, and brings over 25 years of experience delivering innovative and impactful projects in many of the world’s most challenging regions. In over 10 year in senior leadership roles, Saba has successfully transformed strategy and vision into life-changing results for thousands of vulnerable people across the world.
Prior to joining the Asfari Foundation Saba was CEO at the Humanitarian Leadership Academy, where she led the development of localised humanitarian learning approaches to empower communities in conflict areas, establishing a global network of Academy Centres and over 80 organisational partners committed to leading and promoting the localization agenda for the humanitarian sector. Before this, Saba was the Country Director for Save The Children International in Jordan, where she was a strong advocate for disadvantaged communities and ensured the rights and futures of children and young people were at the forefront of the humanitarian agenda. During this period Saba played a crucial role in coordinating the response of 45 humanitarian organisations to the Syrian crisis.
We are really excited at this new chapter for the Foundation, and look forward to continuing to support our partners to build on their vital work with Saba at the helm.
