NEWS FROM THE CHAIRMAN – NEW ASFARI FOUNDATION CEO APPOINTED!

Dear Partners and Friends of the Foundation

On behalf of the Foundation’s Trustees and team, I am pleased to announce that Ms Muna Abbas has been appointed the new CEO for the Asfari Foundation.  Muna has extensive humanitarian and development experience (brief bio attached) and is to relocate from Jordan where she was the Country Manager for Plan International.  She commences her role in London early in September and we welcome her to the Foundation.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Anas Darkaoui who has done an exceptional job as Interim CEO, seamlessly leading the team whilst we looked for a replacement CEO.  Anas has now been appointed, Director: Civil Society, Partnerships & Engagement and I am sure you will wish him well in his new role.

In addition, I would also like to thank Saba Almubaslat for her leadership over the past three years and I am delighted to confirm that she has agreed to join our Board of Trustees offering her strategic insight and support.
