SKILLS FOR SUCCESS: EMPLOYABILITY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN LEBANON – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS NOW
The Asfari Foundation and AMIDEAST proudly announce the launch of the “Skills for Success: Employability and Entrepreneurship Programme” in a two-year partnership to provide economic opportunities impacting more than 600 youth in Lebanon. This programme will focus on building a new generation for the workforce and entrepreneurship by helping the youth gain skills needed to succeed in the job market, and for those with entrepreneurial potential, to get their business ideas off the ground to found their own businesses.
Designed and implemented by AMIDEAST, the programme will serve Lebanese, Syrian, and Palestinian youth ages 18-30 who are residing in all areas of Lebanon and who want to either start a business or enhance their skills to find a job. The “Skills for Success: Employability and Entrepreneurship Programme” provides more than 275 hours of intensive personal development and professional skills training, workplace readiness, and career coaching to enable participants to select and successfully follow a path of employability or entrepreneurship. The total duration of the training programme is around nine months, and selected participants will have to commit to the whole duration of the programme.
AMIDEAST is accepting applications now online through its webpage until 8 January 2018. Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a language placement test and participate in an interview before finalists are selected.
